This index presents historical and modern wars and conflicts taking place in the present territory of, or relating to, Armenia. Armenia achieved independence during the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. It was annexed by the USSR in 1922 after a brief period of independence following World War I and prior integration in the Ottoman Empire.
