| In Moscow... Part of eastern Poland is
incorporated into Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, following the results of
a plebiscite in which the majority of the inhabitants living in the territory reputedly favored annexation.
This completes the incorporation of all Polish territory occupied by the
USSR.
In Berlin... Hitler recalls his ambassadors from Moscow and
Rome for consultations.
In Britain... King George decorates 5 RAF pilots, leaders of a
raid on the Kiel Canal.

chronological study of the Second World War provides a
comprehensive day-by-day account of WWII. While focused on the
military history of the war, with an emphasis on the battles
and campaigns fought, the timeline includes social and
political history as well. Some Holocaust related events are
