German plane shot down in the ChannelIn the English Channel... There are German attacks on shipping. On this day the Germans lose 31 planes and the RAF 20. Overall the losses are less favorable for the Luftwaffe. Between August 1st and 10th the Luftwaffe loses 62 aircraft while the RAF loses 27.
