Italians surrender in large numbersNorth Africa... Bardia is taken along with 40,000 prisoners and large numbers of guns, tanks and other vehicles. General Annibale Bergonzoli is withdrawing toward Tobruk with the still considerable remnants of his force. There have been less than 400 Allied casualties in the attack.
