British SOE dropping supplies to resistance membersIn Occupied Greece... Greece resistance workers from two rival Greek organizations led by British SOE agents blow up a viaduct on the Athen-Salonika railway at Gorgopotamos. Many of the supplies sent to Rommel in the past used this route.


This chronological study of the Second World War provides a comprehensive day-by-day account of WWII. While focused on the military history of the war, with an emphasis on the battles and campaigns fought, the timeline includes social and political history as well.
