In Tunisia... Elements of 10th and 21st Panzer Divisions
(parts of 5th Panzer Army commanded by von Arnim) attack British positions at Medjez el Bab. No progress is made. Rommel intends to concentrate these and other forces for an attack on the British 8th Army before the Mareth Line. Montgomery's forward units (two divisions) are vulnerable because of a lack of logistical support at the front. They are in their present positions as a diversionary move carried out as part of the response to the earlier fighting at the Kasserine Pass.

chronological study of the Second World War provides a
comprehensive day-by-day account of WWII. While focused on the
military history of the war, with an emphasis on the battles
and campaigns fought, the timeline includes social and
political history as well. Some Holocaust related events are
already recorded and additional updates are pending. In so far
as possible, the images included in this presentation are
pictures from the given days. Additional information and
images are welcome through the feedback form found on the
index.
