Indian Brigade troops resting in the jungles of BurmaIn Burma... The British 123rd Indian Brigade is attacked by the Japanese, north of Rathedaung in Arakan, and is compelled to retreat. General Koka commands the Japanese forces involved which include the 55th and 33rd Divisions.


This chronological study of the Second World War provides a comprehensive day-by-day account of WWII. While focused on the military history of the war, with an emphasis on the battles and campaigns fought, the timeline includes social and political history as well.
