German troops about to leave FinlandOn the Eastern Front... A cease-fire agreement comes into effect between the USSR and Finland. German forces begin to withdraw from Finland; most fall back to Norway but about 7000 embark in the Baltic ports. Meanwhile, Soviet forces advancing through the Carpathian Mountains capture Brasov. Other Soviet troops take Senaia.

On the Western Front... Further advances are recorded by the Allied Expeditionary Forces. British 11th Armored Division enters Antwerp but fails to capture the canal crossings. Among the towns captured are Lile, Louvain, Malines and Etaples.
