The Killing Fields in Kampuchea 1975-1979

Premier Pol Pot (1925-98) of Kampuchea (Cambodia) directed the Khmer Rouge (communists) in drastically changing the country after 1976; his brutal regime took control of all lands and means of production and was guilty of monstrous violations of human rights... Uncovered in 1995-96 were the mass graves of up to 2 million people who perished during the "killing fields" rule of Pol Pot in 1975-79.
