Battle of France: May 14-24, 1940

After breaking through the weakly held Ardennes region of the Allied line, the German panzer corps raced to the English Channel. This map shows the advances of 16th Panzer Corps (Hoeppner), 15th Panzer Corps (Hoth), 41st Panzer Corps (Reinhardt) and 19th Panzer Corps (Guderian). Weygand's plan to counterattack, using the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) and the French 7th Army is also shown.
