| NOTES |
(1) Vertical and horizontal gun stabilization fitted to existing Leopard 1 tanks as part of an upgrade from 1971. These vehicles became known as the Leopard 1A1.
(2) About 760kg of additional armor has since been fitted to the turret and gun shield (mantlet) of the Leopard 1A1 vehicles. These vehicles became known as the Leopard 1A1A1. |
