China
Starting out dependent on copies of Soviet designs, in recent years the Chinese have developed an impressive range of armored vehicles. 
France
French armored fighting vehicles, like the innovative AMX-13 light tank, have been sold to countries worldwide. 
Germany
Modern German panzers are ranked among the best in the world. Both the Leopard 1 and 2 have had substantial export success.
Japan
Japanese armor designs receive little international attention because of a lack of export or conflict. However, the ground forces of the JSDF is well equipped for combat.
Russia
The successor state to the USSR, Russia has an extensive range of ground combat weapons systems. Soviet developments like the T-72 and BMP series continue to have influence to this day.

Modern Armored Vehicles offers military history students an extensive database of armored vehicles developed for the armed forces of the Cold War era and beyond to the present day (1946-2005). Included are main battle tanks, light and heavy tanks, armored personnel carriers (as well as infantry fighting vehicles), self-propelled artillery, armored cars and other specialized armored vehicles The armored vehicle listings are primarily organized by country of origin. Over 100 armored vehicles listed have detailed and standardized specifications of firepower, mobility, armor protection (when available), and general information included on a dedicated page. A selection of these armored vehicles will also have four-view technical drawings available. In addition to students of military history, gamers and military modelers will find this data useful.
