Russian Battleship Evstafi

Russian Battleship Evstafi
Country: Russia
Type: Battleship
Service: 1910 - 1917
Ships in class: 2

The Evstafi class were pre-dreadnought battleships of the Imperial Russian Navy. They served in the Black Sea Fleet and fought during World War I. They were slightly enlarged versions of the Potemkin, with increased armour and 4 extra 8 inch guns. Some alterations were made as a result of experience in the Russo Japanese war delaying the completion of the two ships. Both ships were captured by Imperial Germany during the First World War and destroyed by the Allies at the end of their intervention in the Russian Civil War. They were scrapped in 1922 by the Soviets.

Evstafi class battleships: Evstafi; Ioann Zlatoust.
