San Franciso Preparedness Day Bombing 1916

ATen were killed and many injured in the San Francisco Preparedness Day parade bombing (July 22). Antiwar labor leaders Thomas J. Mooney and Warren K. Billings were convicted of the crime; after a worldwide clemency campaign, Mooney's death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment; both were released in 1939.
