Anglo-Egyptian Sudan

Anglo-Egyptian Sudan (Arabic: السودان الإنجليزي المصري‎ as-Sūdān al-Inglīzī al-Maṣrī) referred to the manner by which Sudan was administered between 1899 and 1956, when it was a condominium of the United Kingdom and Egypt, but in practice the structure of the condominium ensured full British control over the Sudan. However, between 1899 and 1922 Egypt was part of the British Empire.
